How do I get Barb data?

There are several options available to access Barb data. The vast majority of Barb subscribers choose to access Barb data via a data bureau. These companies have created user friendly analytic systems and services. A list of the companies is here. As an independent company to Barb, there is a separate fee payable directly to the chosen bureau.

Barb has an API feed which is free to access for Barb subscribers. You will need software to be able to analyse the data.

Yours sales house can share Barb data with you about your channel(s) or VOD service and how it is doing.

There is also topline data available in the subscriber section of the Barb website which is updated on a weekly basis. Access to the subscriber section will be available with purchase of a full licence.

How can I use Barb data?

As part of your licence, you may use Barb data to promote and market your channel and to help sell commercial airtime and sponsorship opportunities.’;

What time period does my licence fee cover?

The licence fee provided is the annual licence fee which is based on the calendar year.

If you would like to take a licence after January, the fee will be prorated to the first of the month in which the licence is active.
