Please pick the correct banding tier which your programme sales within the UK fall into.
The licence fee is based upon your UK programme sales for the calendar year. Fees are determined by a banding system, which reflects the level of your UK programme sales. The band you select will be used to illustrate your annual estimated licence fee.
1 – Full End User Licence A Full End User licence is for Barb data that has a value of £14,250 or more. You tend to need this licence if you are accessing a data analytic system from a Data Bureau. This has an annual fee of £9,870.
2 – Limited End User Licence A Limited End User licence is for data that has a value of less than £14,250. The cost of the licence is 10% of the amount charged by the data bureau for the Barb data. There is a minimum fee of £400. You tend to need this licence if you are purchasing a small amount of data from a bureau.
Both the Full End User Licence and the Limited End User Licence will be administered by the data bureau that you access the Barb data from. The cost of the data is in addition to the End User Licence fee.
End User licences An End User licence allows you to use Barb data for internal purposes only. You cannot share data with a third party or use it to plan and buy your advertising campaigns. There are two types of End User licences available which are based upon the amount of data you are purchasing.
If you would like Barb to contact you to discuss the estimated licence fee provided, please let us know in the text box below. Sarah will get in touch soon after to arrange a call.

There are several options available to access Barb data. The vast majority of Barb subscribers choose to access Barb data via a data bureau. These companies have created user friendly analytic systems and services. A list of the companies is here. As an independent company to Barb, there is a separate fee payable directly to the chosen bureau.
Barb has an API feed which is free to access for Barb subscribers. You will need software to be able to analyse the data.
There is also topline data available in the subscriber section of the Barb website which is updated on a weekly basis. Access to the subscriber section will be available with purchase of a full licence.
When the licence provided is for internal purposes only, the Data will be provided under an End User Licence.
The data provided under an End User Licence cannot be used to help with the sale of programmes to Broadcasters or Streaming Services. Neither may the data be used for promotional or marketing purposes.
If you would like to use the data for these purposes then it is allowed, but please go back and tick the ‘yes’ box for the licence estimate.
The licence fee provided is the annual licence fee which is based on the calendar year.
If you would like to take a licence after January, the fee will be prorated to the first of the month in which the licence is active.
