The IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) is an Underwriter to the Barb service.
If your Media Agency is a member of the IPA then your Barb licence will be administered through them.
The licence fee to access Barb data and use it to plan and buy your advertising campaign is based upon your television billings and sponsorship.
This includes ads on video-streaming services and any other digital service where Barb data has been used as part of the planning process.
Once the licence is in place you will be able to access Barb data.
If you would like Barb to contact you to discuss the estimated licence fee provided, please let us know in the text box below. Sarah will get in touch soon after to arrange a call.

There are several options available to access Barb data. The vast majority of Barb subscribers choose to access Barb data via a data bureau. These companies have created user friendly analytic systems and services. A list of the companies is here. As an independent company to Barb, there is a separate fee payable directly to the chosen bureau.
Barb has an API feed which is free to access for Barb subscribers. You will need software to be able to analyse the data.
There is also top line viewing data available within the subscriber section of the Barb website including the weekly top 50 programmes for all channels and services reported.
As part of our licence, you may use Barb data to plan and buy advertising campaigns on behalf of your client.
You may share Barb data with your client that is relevant to their campaigns and that of their direct competitors.
You may also share data that is relevant to the TV market as a whole when discussing general TV viewing trends. Your clients may only use this data for internal purposes.
The licence fee provided is the annual licence fee which is based on the calendar year.
If you would like to take a licence after January, the fee will be prorated to the first of the month in which the licence is active.
