If you are a Video Platform Operator with a service that is measured by Barb, then please chose the ‘Yes’ option to get your estimated licence fee.
There are two options available for paying your licence fee.
Option 1: Pay a fee based purely on share of Total Identified Viewing. Total Identified Viewing is all identified viewing which can be measured and reported through all four screens (TV, PC/laptop, tablet and smartphone).
Option 2: Pay a fee based on a combination of share of Total Identified Viewing and share of advertising revenue as a percentage of the Advertising Association’s reporting of total spot (inc. sponsorship) and VOD revenue for television.
Required field
Please select the type of third party content you distribute.
TV only: This is television content such as linear channels.
Online only: This is content that is on video-sharing platforms and other online only platforms.
Please add your Video Platform Operator name as known in the Barb data. The share of total identified viewing for the period 1st July 2023 – 30th June 2024 (known as the base year) will be populated in the box.
If your service launched outside of the base period, please contact Barb direct to obtain your share of total identified viewing which will be based upon the latest data available.
There is a one-off set-up fee per Video Platform Operator which is non-refundable. This fee allows the required references to be set up so that we can measure your channel or VOD service on all required platforms.
There is a tiered licence fee in place based on your share of Total Identified Viewing. For new subscribers who have yet to establish a share, we will start you on the lowest banding tier.
*Any data you share on revenue is required to produce an accurate estimate, this information is discarded on submission. Submissions are only completed when you click the ‘Submit’ button for a consultation. You and Barb will receive an email of your completed form, but revenue is removed and is not shared with Barb.
Your advertising revenue includes revenue from sponsorship deals and teleshopping as well general airtime sales. If you had no sales during this period, please enter £0.
Please take care to answer all questions to the best of your knowledge.
